Office 2016 For Mac High Sierra

Since Apple released High Sierra 10.13 we have had an influx of users complaining Microsoft Office not working correctly with numerous problems.

“Apple released an update to macOS Sierra on 9/20. Some customers are reporting Office 2016 for Mac applications are closing unexpectedly, or crashing, on macOS Sierra. Engineering is working with. Not an explanation, but Office 2011 for Mac (any version) is contraindicated for High Sierra usage because Microsoft never tested it against High Sierra. You will need Office 2016 for Mac 15.35 or later for High Sierra compatibility. Microsoft have revealed several fixes which need to be installed to rectify the issues.
This can be simply done by opening Microsoft Word, Excel or Outlook.

Clicking 'Check for updates'
Let the updates download and install which could take several minutes.

This will install any updates required and install the fixes required.
Note: If you cannot install the updates as above then please click the link below to download and install them manually.

* Previous versions of Microsoft Office will not work with High Sierra 10.13.
ISSUE: A recent software update for Microsoft Office on Mac computers can prevent Outlook from working properly. If your Mac is running macOS High Sierra and you install update 16.12 for Outlook 2016, then Outlook will repeatedly (every 30 seconds or so) prompt for your email password.
RESOLUTION:
Since individual updates for Office on Mac cannot be uninstalled, the workaround for affected systems entails backing up certain files*, removing Microsoft Office, then reinstalling Office. Remember that you can still always access email via the Outlook Web App, https://owa.eku.edu.

To determine whether your Mac is susceptible to the issue described above, try the following steps:

- First, check the macOS version of your computer.
- Second, check the version of Office on your computer.
- Third, choose Manual Updates so you can skip this version of Outlook until a fix is published.
