We have known for a while now that Microsoft is hard at work finishing Office 2016 before it has to be released to consumers later this year and now the company feels confident enough to let people have a look at the preview version. Microsoft has announced the public preview of its latest version of one of its flagship software products, Office 2016. Public preview means exactly that, anyone can go ahead and load it up on. The thaw continues today as Microsoft rolls out the very first public preview of Office 2016 for Mac, a ground-up rebuild of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook designed to bring the old.

Microsoft does remind people that Office 2016 Preview is still a work in progress so not all of the features that it expects Office 2016 to have by the fall will be available for use right now.
